Dr. Tyrone Rodriguez, DDS
Dr. Tyrone Rodriguez graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, where he was a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar. He was involved in research for two years at Baylor College of Medicine's, Molecular Physiology and Biophysics Department. As his desire to share knowledge with others grew, he decided to make the transition into education and taught high school science for five years in Houston. Afterwards, Dr. Rodriguez entered University of Texas Dental Branch-Houston and graduated in 2004 with his DDS degree. Dr. Rodriguez went on to the University of Texas at San Antonio where his passion to work with children motivated him to complete a residency in pediatric dentistry winning multiple state and national awards. Dr. Rodriguez has helped give testimony at the White House for oral health and the affordable care act to aid in children having oral health coverage. Dr. Rodriguez has a wealth of experience treating children in both the dental office and hospital settings. His clinical skills include all areas of children’s dentistry, third molar extractions, laser dentistry, surgical tooth exposure, craniofacial anomalies/therapies and special needs dentistry.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American College of Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard Fellow, MENSAn and has served as National President for the Hispanic Dental Association.
Dr. Rodriguez is married to Victoria for 24 years, a dental assistant by profession, and has three children, Katherine (age 22), Leonardo (age 18), and Nikolas (age 16). Dr. Rodriguez travels around the country and internationally presenting at many dental conferences regarding his love and knowledge of children and special needs dentistry, but when he is relaxing he enjoys camping with his family, boating, hiking, travel and reading the Bible.
